Connect with nature with the new GARDENA Secateurs Range

Passionate gardeners know that, on any given day, somewhere in the garden, there is a plant that would benefit from a little pruning. Certainly, there are periods of the year in which a flurry of intense pruning activity takes place but generally, it can be said that pruning is required in some way, shape or form all-year round.

The right choice of secateurs is therefore essential – a pruning companion needs to sit comfortably and lightly in the hand, be robust and cut cleanly.

For this reason, GARDENA’s R&D department has turned its attention to its secateurs range; reorganising and redesigning it to offer customisation both in terms of application and user.

“We’ve made our new secateurs even more enjoyable to use by redesigning their fibreglass-reinforced handle shapes, sourcing new advanced material for their soft grip components and including shock absorption pads.” says Josh Turner, Product & Marketing Manager for GARDENA Australia.

“Another great new feature on some of the new secateurs is their integrated spring making the problem of lost or dirt-encrusted springs a thing of the past.” continues Mr Turner.

Keeping in mind that gardeners’ hands come in all shapes and sizes, GARDENA has made some of the new secateurs adjustable according to hand size knowing that the right fit results in less hand fatigue.

Made in Germany, the quadruple precision-ground blades are specially designed to cut smoothly and cleanly. The non-stick coated upper blades are made of special carbon steel produced exclusively for GARDENA and, for bypass models, the bottom blades are made of rust-proof stainless steel.  They have been tested in extreme conditions including endurance lifetime tests of over 50,000 activations (opening and closing of the handles). GARDENA backs up this declaration of superior quality with its 25-year warranty.
